Vahlie Haus (valley-house) is a photography studio.
I grew up understanding life through the language of valleys, deep, dark seasons echoed in scripture and reflected in our culture. I’m drawn to romanticizing what happens within those valleys: the small acts of love, beauty, and devotion that carry light back with us as we rise.
Janelle Mulcahy is a photographer, writer, and creative director who creates from a place of allowing love to guide every aspect of her work. She believes love is not an abstract idea, but a calling, one that shapes how we see, serve, and show up for others. Her focus on love stories, and romanticized commercial work flows directly from this belief: that love is sacred, relational, and meant to be witnessed in all things; products, stories, people.
Her photography is an act of service. Through her lens, she seeks to honor connection, devotion, and the quiet beauty of real life. She approaches each story with humility and attentiveness, not to direct or manufacture moments, but to create space for what is already true to unfold.
Through photography, writing, and visual direction, Vahlie Haus points away from the darkness, and toward meaning, inviting others to see love not as content, but as a way of living.
